ENSEO POWERS SUPER BOWL AND DIGITAL SIGNAGE FOR STADIUM MANAGERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL SEMINAR
Digital Media Players Display Live Game and Sponsor Messages
Richardson, TX, February 22, 2012 – Enseo digital media players displayed the Super Bowl along with sponsor messages at the 2012 Stadium Managers Association (SMA) Annual Seminar in Palm Springs, CA. The seminar’s kick-off event, held on Super Bowl Sunday, included stadium managers from professional and collegiate stadiums from across the country.
Enseo digital media players displayed the live game in HD on nine Panasonic plasma displays, including eight 50” displays and an 85” display, a 55” Ciil outdoor display, and an HD projector, utilizing the existing coax network. Peerless-AV provided multiple display carts, allowing screens to be moved with ease and placed in strategic locations around Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Palm Springs. Using Author, Enseo’s digital signage layout software, sponsor messages were overlaid onto the live feed of the Super Bowl in an L-Bar format. Viewers enjoyed the game without interruption while seminar sponsors received continuous exposure throughout football’s biggest event of the year.
Rick Nafe, Annual SMA Seminar Chair and VP Operations of Tampa Bay Rays noted, “I heard a lot of comments from long-time attendees of our meeting about how professional the entire production was, from stage set-up to Super Bowl viewing. Clearly, our look was the best ever…and I thought it was just me.”
Enseo technology was also used to provide digital signage during conference meetings. Schedules, meeting locations, and sponsor messages rotated on-screen over stored video for eye-catching signage in key locations such as registration and outside meeting rooms.
“Enseo’s professionalism and attention to detail in everything from evaluating the space to helping determine technology partners that would best meet the needs of our event space exceeded my expectations as a staff member and made it easy for implementation on site,” commented Kate Banasiak, SMA Director.
Enseo’s success in the sports industry stems from equipment flexibility. Compatible with coax cabling or an IP network, Enseo digital media players leverage existing infrastructure, allowing venues to provide an updated entertainment experience while often saving hundreds of thousands of dollars on infrastructure upgrades. Enseo’s open platform also allows integration partners to apply their own software solutions to the media player, creating unique, location-specific media solutions.

ENSEO’S CUSTOM DVD PLAYER DELIVERS EARLY-WINDOW MOVIES TO U.S. NAVY
Technology Meets Security Requirements, Provides Better-Quality Entertainment
Richardson, TX, October 10, 2011 - Enseo, Inc., a provider of digital media solutions, has developed a custom DVD player for the U.S. Navy, enabling the distribution of early-window movies, Hollywood films available soon after theatrical release and prior to access by the general public, to armed forces, federal employees, and their families worldwide. The Navy Encrypted DVD (NDVD) Player provides high-quality, digital content, as well as necessary content protection, and will be installed in approximately 800 locations in more than 70 countries.
The Navy Motion Picture Service (NMPS), responsible for Navy Fleet morale, sought a solution more advanced than the previously installed tape-based system, but that would also meet the many security requirements for digital content. "When our servicemen and women are deployed, they typically want three things: Internet access, fitness equipment, and movies," explained Ron Rossman, NMPS head. "Our goal is to meet their needs, and provide them with the best amenities possible while they are serving our country."
Selected by NMPS, Enseo designed a custom product with a multi-pronged approach to content protection to enable better-quality movies for troops.
- To avoid duplication, all DVDs are encrypted and can only be played on the NDVD Player.
- In order to adhere to studio license terms, DVDs are embedded with an expiration date, integrating license terms into the technology.
- In the event that a movie is recorded with a hand-held device, the recording is imprinted with a digital watermark and can be linked backed to the specific NDVD unit, as well as the time it was played.
With Enseo's technology solutions in place to protect content, NMPS is able to distribute 16 DVDs per month to 800 customer sites, including the Navy Fleet, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA, Department of State, and the Military Sealift Command. Customer sites can maintain a library of movies up to studio license terms. That library reaches almost 200 movies after one year and just under 800 movies after a four-year period.
"I am proud for Enseo to have the opportunity to apply our unique industry expertise in digital video and content protection to entertaining the troops of the United States military," said Vanessa Ogle, CEO of Enseo. "The men and women serving our country around the world deserve the best."
The NDVD Player technology also increases the efficiency of the NMPS distribution center. 14,000-15,000 tapes are mailed monthly to all NMPS customers worldwide, and then returned to the NMPS distribution center for destruction, requiring time-consuming staff processing. Digital content protection means nothing has to be returned, creating a more efficient system for processing.
Prepared for technology advancements, Enseo also provided plans for a shipboard server-based system. This updated system will help to reduce the number of sailors required to operate the shipboards distriduted broadcast operation. Larger ships, such as Carriers, have up to 5,000 active servicemen and women on board and operate 24-hour broadcasts. A server-based system will significantly reduce the operation burden
The NDVD Player has been distributed to all shore locations, and will be installed in all shipboard locations by December 2012.
